CLINICAL REVIEW I have recently been using Eagle & Owl’s affirmation cards with my clients. These cards have helped generate helpful and positive conversations and thoughts processes with children during sessions. They have multiple uses ranging from the implementation of psycho-education regarding thought patterns but also help construct and generate a healthy neural pathway. The wonderful illustrations make it extremely easy to engage children to have these conversations, with kids showing excitement and joy when identifying which cards resonate with them. Thus, helping them to activate core beliefs that they will connect with now and in the future. These core beliefs shape how they see themselves, others and the world around them. I have also found the affirmation cards useful in decreasing unhelpful levels of anxiety in children particular using the cards “I am Safe” and “I am Healthy”. These cards allow children to access and autonomously choose what they want and need in themselves and their lives. I will continue to use these cards now and in the future.

EYE-CATCHING & EDUCATIONAL I have previously used other affirmation cards being an Early Childhood teacher, to help with mindfulness and have discussions to encourage language, emotional and cognitive development in class.
